Tutoring will also continue as usual at the long established tutoring centers on campus – the Ketchum Hall English Department Writing Center, the Academic Skills Tutoring Center on the third floor of South Wing, and the EOP Tutoring Center on the seventh floor of South Wing. The same referral form may be sent with students to any and all of these centers.

David Lampe Collection Comes to Butler

Posted by Dennis Reed, Jr. on February 2, 2007

Dr. David Lampe, an English professor at Buffalo State College for over 35 years, has donated his substantial collection of poetry books to E. H. Butler Library’s Archives and Special Collections.  Of the 900+ volumes, many are rare first editions.  Others are signed by their English, Australian, Canadian, or Irish authors.  The books include poetry texts and poetry criticism, ranging in subject from medieval to modern poetry.  Read more about the David Lampe Collection or view the contents in the library catalog.

Along with the books on poetry, Dr. Lampe has also donated unique audio and video recordings of the many regional and international poets he brought to read at Buffalo State during his tenure.   In addition, there are 85 correspondence and subject files, representing Dr. Lampe’s work with and study of various local, national, and global poets.

The collection marks the first acquisition in E.H. Butler Library’s “Special Collections of Special Professors” initiative.
