spin: a project of vinyl and verse
Posted by Dennis Reed, Jr. on March 3, 2008
This project is over. Thanks to everyone who participated. You can see their work here.
Vinyl is back! Please join us for this groove-y poetry project, sure to make your artistic heart skip a beat. Stop by Lisa’s office (BUTL 218D) to pick up a vinyl LP record of your choice. Then, turn the tables on “square” poetry by creating a poem on the vinyl album using the language and art from the album sleeve. Wax poetic! You can draw, paint, etch, paste, or collage on both sides of the album to create your revolution-ary work. Please include your name somewhere on the album. See Lisa for more information forresla@bufalostate.edu.
Completed albums will be presented as part of the April 16th “April Showers” open mic.
